C. Carter Boucher, Artist, Writer and Musician
I am Carter Boucher, a world renowned, award winning professional artist, artist in residence and writer. I’ve studied in France taught in museums, art centers and colleges. My artwork has been seen on ETV, public TV, national magazines, newspapers and in numerous exhibitions in the US and Europe. Awards received include honors for my artwork, as an artist in residence and for writing.
I am one of the Arts Access SC master artists. For those of you unfamiliar with Arts Access SC it is funded in part through a grant from the Kennedy Center and brings professional artists together with people who are disabled. I am currently active on the South Carolina Arts Commissions Artist Roster (a juried roster of professional artists). I produce works of fine art or illustration in oils, watercolors, gouache, acrylic, pencil, pen and ink, etching, collagraph, wood engraving, linocut, silk screen, stamp printing, silk screen, plaster, assemblage, Papier Mache, airbrush and do set design and production. My artworks range in scope from a miniature painting of a rose on the label inside a classical guitar to a wrap around mural on an 18 wheeler. I also worked as a ghost designer and stylist for major fashion companies. For 14 years I worked as an artist in residence for the South Carolina Arts commission programs. I have experience in teaching K-12 through senior citizens and with gifted and talented students as well as special needs.
